About Us

The Presbyterian Church at Manning was founded in November 1855. For one hundred and fifty years, Presbyterians in the community have sought to make a difference in the lives of those who live in Manning and in Clarendon County. The members of our congregation are warm and friendly people, who come to this family of faith from many parts of the United States. We are a diverse group, but we are unified by our faith in Jesus Christ, and we invite you to be a part of us. You will have a special place in our hearts.

We believe the church is a worshipping community, and we gather for Devine Worship every Sunday morning at eleven o'clock, and on special and holy days. Our worship Services are traditional in nature because we believe that there are some aspects of worship that need to be preserved for future generations. Christian Worship has been handed down to us through the ages, and we rejoice in the faith of those who have gone on before us, showing us the joy of praising God like the Saints of old.

We believe that Christian education is vital for Youth and Adults. Every opportunity is given to those who want to grow in their faith.

Our congregation takes seriously the words of Jesus: "When you do it unto one of the least of these, you do it unto me." Our church reaches out to those in need, to those who live in the community and all around this world. Mission is our purpose, and we believe that when we help others, we are literally helping Christ.

So we invite you to join us as we worship, learn and serve the God of grace, who is revealed to us in the person of Jesus Christ.

God Bless You!
